Professional: We don't just claim to be professionals, WE ARE!! Lon Monahan is one of a limited number of photographers in the whole state of Iowa who is a Certified Professional and holds a Master of Photography degree from the Professional Photographers of America.
Lighting: We use lighting to create moods and unique looks. Whether we are working with studio lighting or natural light outdoors, we know how to properly light to flatter and accentuate your face and body.
Posing: Unless you have already done some modeling, you may not feel real comfortable in front of the camera. Leave the posing to us, the professionals. We will find all the right angles to make your poses look relaxed and natural.
Expression: One way to make your images look unique and different is to capture a variety of looks and expressions. Years of experience enables us to study expressions and try to capture one that is natural and looks like the real you. A variety of expressions including serious, soft smiles and fun candids will also ensure that your photos will be unique and diverse.
Locations: We have so many different places to photograph. We will listen to your ideas and give you suggestions on locations that will compliment what you are wearing. We are experience with color blending and will pick the best backgrounds for your outfits whether we are indoors or outdoors. If you want something with a modern or rustic look, or prefer nature, flowers or water, we can accommodate you.
Techniques: We are always attending educational seminars to keep up with new styles and trends to stay ahead of the competition.
Quality: We are NOT a factory!! Our commitment is quality, not quantity. Our sessions are relaxed and we do not rush your session because the next person is waiting.

Sibling Special: Receive up to two outfits FREE if you had a sibling use us for their senior pictures.
If you are involved in fall sports or activities, we recommend scheduling your session in the summer. It will be a lot more difficult to coordinate a time when you have practice or games after school. Please have several dates in mind when calling to schedule.
